 Stefano Antonucci - Simon Boccanegra
One of the most appreciated Verdian baritones, Stefano Antonucci distinguishes
himself thanks to his lovely, elegant tone and his deep portrayal of the
characters he sings. He recently performed: La Traviata in Santiago de
Chile, Montpellier, Genoa, Bologna, and at the Puccini Festival in Torre del
Lago; Rigoletto in Dijon, Zurich and at the Terme di Caracalla in Rome;
Adriana Lecouvreur (Michonnet) and La Bohème in Florence. Mr.
Antonucci collaborated with such conductors as Lorin Maazel, Georg Solti,
Gianandrea Gavazzeni, Vladimir Delman, Gianluigi Gelmetti, Donato Renzetti. He
recorded Mercadante's Virginia for Opera Rara (2008) and Donizetti's
Adelia for BMG-Ricordi.
